Spent a very hot Monday in the water and loved it! We did the Christmas in July special with the drink wristband. Every 15 minutes we were able to get a drink from any food station. Well worth it to stay hydrated on a hot day. Rented a cabana to stay at the lazy river. Loved the secure feeling of leaving our stuff in the safe. And I loved that they were not allowing people without a cabana wristband to enter that area.

This was a major let down. We did this trip as our last small vacation of the year for 2023. We had purchased a Cabana, unlimited food and drinks in the park, and our tickets. Rain and lightning tried its best to keep us out of the water but did finally get to get in the water around 3pm. I would not recommend buying anything in advance as they do NO refund and NO rain checks on any of the items. When getting the unlimited food and drink passes be wary as almost all the food areas were closed. We ended up only getting a few slices of pizza and chocolate covered banana. The water park had most of the kids area roped off as well as the lazy river was not working due to not enough lifeguards (although there were employees everywhere in the shopping area). We will not be returning to this park or at least will only purchase bare minimum for entry as that is all it seems it is worth these days. PS the wave pool was great and favorite area for the kiddos.

Quick review and note for anyone planning to visit Oceans of Fun right now (6/1/23). If you are coming for just one day, you may be disappointed in how many of the big slides and attractions are currently closed. I spoke with a manager at the park who informed me that there is currently a shortage of lifeguards that prevent them from opening all the attractions. He hopes to have more guards trained soon so they can have everything open. If you have younger kiddos, most of those shallow areas are open. Our teens are bummed that the bigger slides have been closed all day, but we are here for several weeks and hoping this situation will improve before we leave. It is still a great place for sun and fun, but I wanted to share the closings in hopes of helping others.

We are season pass holders, and always went to the water park often, but since they announced the meal plan we are now going 2-3 times a week to grab a bite and a cool off for an hour or so. They have added many new food options so if you haven't checked it out recently you probably should look again. Some days get very crowded so we tend to go on week nights and early on Sunday to beat the crowds and with the season pass it makes sense to drop in for a couple of hours instead of a whole day. They've made significant changes to Coconut Cove to improve safety, but the new (hopefully temporary) fencing makes it feel like a prison. I hope that after they close for the season next week they will come up with a more attractive/inviting way to control access to the pool.

We got Tickets. And Family came in Town. Excited to see what Kc Had to offer. But was quick to be disappointed. For all the money spent half the rides we’re down. At both parks. Misinformed on prices and options by management. Also was kept waiting for at least 30 minutes by Levi. I have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. On services never rendered. Levi Who does not value paying Customers time or money that pays his Salary. Said and I quote. Without even speaking to me or our party. To his Asst manager staff. There’s probably not much I can do. Before even hearing what was in question. But 100 percent could charge that card in a split second! On a Positive note, every Young life guard was on task. Gave great directions and helped with lots of info. These young people were on it. Paying attention to keeping everyone safe. LifeGuards and Safety staff 5 Stars. Also concessions did a great job too. Upper management Need to get it together. Cedar parks train more staff like the life Guards and Concessions . Less on the Levi types. Also If your gonna have half the rides down. Looks like we should pay half price. To get in. You know your making bank. When everyone is paying $21.00 for a refill cup. $15.00 for a slice a pizza. This is Capitalism robbery. People might not mind paying The king’s Ransom! If you at least treated them like they matter!
